A long agent run reaches choices that carry risk: which branch to ship, whether a migration is safe, whether to delete a file. Human-in-the-loop keeps a person in charge of those choices without making them watch the whole run.

How Notifex does it

Notifex gives your agent a way to ask. The agent calls ask_question over MCP and pauses. Your iPhone gets a push notification with the question. You pick an option or type a reply, and the answer goes straight back to the waiting agent, which carries on with your decision.

The agent chooses an answer type that fits: single-select, multi-select or free text. It can send up to 10 questions in one push, and it can attach images, video or documents, up to 10 files and 10 MB each. In a team project, the first answer wins.

Why it matters

The agent never has to guess, and you do not have to sit at a terminal. Every question and answer stays in your project inbox, so you can check later what was asked and what you decided.

  • MCP: the protocol your agent uses to call tools such as ask_question.
  • Agent: the program that works on its own and asks you when a decision is yours to make.
